Tunnel connecting the Tetuán District to the M-30 highway

“A MAJOR URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT THAT WILL IMPROVE TRAFFIC FLOW AND COMMUNICATION IN THE SPANISH CAPITAL”

Works will significantly improve mobility in the capital, as a connection will be established in the East- West direction between Paseo de la Castellana and Tetuan District with the M30.

At Marqués de Viana Street the project includes a direct connection for the Tetuán district to the new express road, which maintains the existing aqueduct, the first water supply pipeline to Madrid built by Canal de Isabel II.

The works, with a budget of €60 million, and whose supervision was awarded to Azierta, included the construction of three car parks for residents with a total of 674 parking spaces.

Technical characteristics

Design of a long tunnel with two lanes on each direction for the new express road.

It will be 1,900 meters long, of which 1,300 are covered. It has two 3.50 m lanes on each direction, and 0.5 m sidewalks on both sides and a median.
