Safety and Health

The Department of Safety and Health, aims for improving working conditions in construction and thus contribute to a progressive decrease in rates of workplace accidents by a specialized team consisting of highly qualified professionals in the various security matters and health at work.

Under RD 1627/1997 of 24 October, by which laying down minimum safety and health at construction sites, are provided the following services:

-The functions of coordination on Safety and Health, during the execution of the works, as defined in Arts. 9 and following, of RD 1627/1997, on minimal conditions of Security and Health in construction sites.

-Supervision and control of implementation of the Health and Safety Plan, the construction contractor has to propose before the start of the work and its subsequent actions, as regulated in the Arts. 13 and 14 of the Royal Decree (RD).

Regardless of the regulatory functions of health and safety coordination, during the implementation of each work, Azierta Group considers it important to include a series of complementary tasks to perform:

-The preparation of reports relating to Health and Safety Plan, designed by the contractor, and the corresponding procedure for its statutory approval.

-The regular visits to works, taking the necessary measures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Plan, or where appropriate, identify and correct their violations.

-Conducting a quarterly report on action taken in the works, analysing the work units whose impact on security are more remarkable.

-Report of the Health and Safety Plan, in case of being the promoter a Public Administration; this will be responsible for approving the Plan. In the event that the promoter is private, the Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for approving the Health and Safety Plan.

-The monitoring and detection of violations of the Health and Safety Plan along the execution of the work, with the adoption of regulatory action in this regard.
