“Harnessing wind power”

The wind farm at Valle de Peraleda is one of the 22 wind farms authorized by the Autonomous Government of Extremadura out of the 91 applications for permits submitted.

The 50 MW of EÓLICA VALLE DE PERALEDA, located in a single farm, will account for 11% of the wind power market share in Extremadura. With an annual production of 50 MWh, it will provide clean power for 23,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions in 27,000 tons.

In order to minimize the environmental impact of the evacuation line of the wind farm, evacuation infrastructures will be shared. This means that the evacuation substation at Nudo Higuera de la Serena will be jointly constructed by the developers of the area.

Furthermore, the design of the park has been done taking into account the conditions imposed the environmental impact statement so that impact on the area is minimized.
