Drinking Water Treatment Plant in the municipality of Prnjavor (Bosnia-Herzegovina)
“Drinking water for everyone”
Azierta designed and built a water treatment plant to supply perfectly safe drinking water for human consumption for a population of some 16,000 residents (including both the town and the neighboring areas).
The works consisted in:
- Technical and economic feasibility studies
- Environmental impact studies
- Engineering project
- Supply of equipment
- Construction and project management
- Putting into service
- Training of personnel
- 12-month warranty, supply of consumables
Water is taken directly from the Drenova reservoir and then taken through the existing collector to the inlet collection tank where data are collected and analyzed. From the inlet collection tank water is taken to an aeration tank though an underground passage with a motorized sluice. Following a filtering process, water then flows into an oxidation tank, settling tank and finally before distribution water is chlorinated to a safe level for consumption. The plant’s output is 100 l/s, or 360 m3/h.
